Vehicle Details:
Description:   Built on 21st June 1994, this vehicle was one of the first of the second generation Range Rovers (the P38), but it was not registered until 13th October 1994 when it became one of Land Rovers "Police Demonstrator" vehicles known as "Pegasus".

The vehicle was subsequently sold to the Metropolitan Police on 19th March 1997 and was attached to the Special Escort Group which provides both overt and covert escorts to Royalty, high profile members of Government and visiting heads of state.

The vehicles most high profile task was carried out on 6th September 1997 when it was one of the escort vehicles at the funeral of Princess Diana, escorting her hearse from Westminster Abbey to the family estate at Althorp, Northamptonshire.

Video of this can still be found on YouTube.

The vehicle was taken out of service in 2003 and subsequently sold.

The vehicle is currently being fully restored by its current owner after discovering the significance of the vehicle by chance when researching its history.
